Israeli prog/metal band ORPHANED LAND has just posted the following statement regarding the current events in the Arabian world:
“For years I was educated to hate Arabs and learned how much they hate me and my nation, I was sure both Israelis and Arabs, Jews and Muslims will never live in peace. But then something happened, a small movement - the music that taught me more than any teacher, guru, rabbi, sheikh, was my band’s music – ORPHANED LAND. I know that a football fan of Barcelona will never cheer up for Real Madrid, so how can it be that Arab people will follow my Israeli band? It's simple - the power of music to bring people together, to break walls, even worst enemies can find a mutual song that they love, and right there - it's a moment where they can find something in common, a door to a dialogue, to understand that we are all one.

IAMX, Noblesse Oblige
The wait for the fourth album of Chris Corner’s IAMX is now done and considering what’s leaked in terms of information on ‘Volatile Times’ already we can expect a soul exorcism a la carte with the new material. Adding a proper live backdrop to new songs is always important and with IAMX a part of the whole, so, following the release of the album, the ‘Fire & Whispers’ tour is going to start and is expected to once more become a spectacle not to be missed.

Covenant, Decoded Feedback, Patenbrigade:Wolff
When or if the new album 'Modern Ruin' would be finally seeing the light of day at all was a big question with all the delays happening. But the day came with the beginning of a new year, particularly in January 2011 preceded by the ‘Lightbriinger’ EP, a collaboration with Swedish electronic duo NECRO FACILITY, it came out and presented COVENANT at their freshest and most inventive; maybe less catchy and more ambitious with a newly ignited eagerness for sonic experimentalism and emotions everywhere you look. In April, they’re now coming back to this world’s live stages with Duisburg & Frankfurt being two stages they intend to conquer on their journey.
