Werk 2, Halle A, Leipzig, Germany
30th October 2011
Subway to Sally and Nachtgeschrei
SUBWAY TO SALLY was founded in Potsdam, Germany, in the early 1990s. It is a rock band with folk and medieval influences, later also with gothic and metal elements added to the mix. With their continuous inclusion of oriental sounds and elements of classical music (noted for instance by the use of the arrangements of the backup vocals) and the use of instruments less frequently seen in metal bands, such as bagpipes, shawm, violin, hurdy-gurdy and lute, the band has acquired the label of medieval metal. They have released 9 studio albums, two live albums and two live DVDs. However, now they are back with their new CD ‘Schwarz in Schwarz’. http://www.subwaytosally.com/ / http://www.myspace.com/subwaytosally
‘Schwarz in Schwarz’ is SUBWAY TO SALLY’s new masterpiece and they are celebrating it with a huge tour through Germany. One stop will be Leipzig where the band including their support NACHTGESCHREI (which are also worth seeing live) will have the honour to play for several fans. Werk 2 is probably the best choice for that, having this old rustic charm which fits just perfectly as a location. So, mark the 30th October in your calendar and make sure to make it to the concert of NACHTGESCHREI and SUBWAY TO SALLY!
