Outside of the Scandinavian countries, the Finnish all-girl band INDICA might come across as merely a newcomer. In fact, the band formed already in 2001 and in 2003 already had a record deal in their bags. The debut ‘Ikuinen Virta’ was released the following year and helped getting a bigger audience through gigs at renowned festivals in Finland. The turning point, igniting their international breakthrough was Tuomas Holopainen’s decision of having singer Jonsu lay down vocals over the Finnish version of a track, called ‘Last Of The Wild’.

The Parlotones, Fiction Plane
South-African THE PARLOTONES have started as a little light in their native, playing to little audiences, but through the years and with albums such as ‘Episoda’ and the follow-up ‘Radiocontrolledrobot’, they literally worked their way up the ladder, and every new album saw them incorporating new elements into their sound structure, bringing it to multi-faceted dimensions. The preliminary peak of that evolution was reached with the release of their latest album ‘Stardust Galaxies’ which was certified gold within the week of its release.

Every year anew there comes a time when people get dressed up in creepy costumes, stroll around in their neighbourhood and ask around for sweets. Short time before what we know as Halloween begins, there’s a group of bands from the Horror punk genre joining forces to bring the Hell Nights upon Germany. For 2010, another high-class line-up has been assembled. Let’s start with this little band called THE OTHER, who has caused a stir with their recently released new album ‘New Blood’.

CLIENT is a futurist British musical group from Rotherham, England who have toured extensively throughout Europe and Asia. They are most popular in Germany where they have had most commercial success. They combine Scandinavian airline hostess uniforms with glamour-girl aesthetics and harsh electronics to create a sound reminiscent of early forays into electronic sound manipulation and New Wave. Their uniforms have become their trademark. Their current album ‘Command’ was released 1.5 years ago, the new single is called ‘Make me believe in you’ (download only single on iTunes, Musicload, Napster...).
