Synthetic Cinema International and MVD Visual are pleased to announce the release of Banshee!!! for North American distribution on March 23, 2010. In this creature feature, a group of college friends on a spring break camping trip are stalked and slashed by an unknown creature with the ability to make them hallucinate through sound waves. The survivors hold up refuge in an isolated farmhouse, cut off from all communication. Now, they have to come up with a plan to kill this unrelenting creature before it kills them.

With CHILDREN OF BODOM and FEAR FACTORY's co-headline slot announced at the end of last year, BLOODSTOCK OPEN AIR 2010 continues to impress with the addition of GOJIRA to the line up. The French Metal monsters will be making their ONLY UK APPEARANCE OF 2010 at Catton Hall this summer. Having ended last year with a mammoth tour of the USA with Metallica and Lamb Of God, the band previously announced that 2010 would see the band take a time off, but have decided to make an exception to be part of this year's very special 10th anniversary event. With a reputation for fiercely heavy and perfectly executed live shows, GOJIRA's set promises to be one of the festival highlights, and your only chance to catch the band on these shores this year.

On 5th March, the new HIGH ON FIRE album ‘Snakes for the Divine’ will be released on Century Media Records (under exclusive licence of E1 Music). The artwork for the new record of the power trio has been created again by Arik Moonhawk and visualises the album title perfectly. Have a look at it in high-res here. The fifth album of the band, successor to the 2007 opus ‘Death is the Communion’ was recorded with Greg Fidelman at “The Pass Studios” in Los Angeles and sounds harder, faster and darker than anything the band has released before. Fidelman, who has been producing SLAYER’s ‘World Painted Blood’ as well as the upcoming METALLICA live album, makes the band’s strength sound more gripping than ever before. By doing that, he gives the sinister lyrical phantasms of the band a kind of trigger-happy appeal.
