SWALLOW THE SUN, SURVIVORS ZERO and KIANA have been confirmed to perform at the sixth annual Finnish Metal Expo, which will be held February 19-20, 2010 in Helsinki. Also scheduled to appear are SONATA ARCTICA, APOCALYPTICA, INSOMNIUM, SATYRICON and HYPOCRISY.Finnish Metal Expo, the main event of Helsinki Metal Meeting, is taking over the Cable Factory for the sixth time next year. This is where more than 50 operators in the metal music industry showcase their latest offerings in the exhibition area and the hot metal acts take the stage.

San Francisco Bay Area metal veterans DEATH ANGEL have been confirmed for the SWEDEN ROCK CRUISE, departing from Stockholm on 8th April 2010 and returning the next day. Five more acts will be announced soon. With hard rock DJs, tax free shops, bars, restaurants, a gaming room, swimming pool and saunas, the 12-deck, 200 meter long M/S Silja Galaxy is pure heaven for everyone into hard music and partying. NIGHTWISH founder and keyboardist Tuomas Holopainen explains in an interview with Terrorizer Magazine that the next album will be. ,, I have a very clear vision of the next album already, which feels really weird but I have all the song titles. I know how many songs there are going to be. I have four songs done already even though it's still pretty preliminary, the whole album, but I have a good idea what it's going to be like. It's still going to be metal but I thinks it's going to be a bit brighter than 'Dark Passion Play.” The album is expected in 2011, at the moment Nightwish has a holiday after intensive touring. - Details

Progressive metal band PAIN OF SALVATION will release their new EP ' Linoleum' on 16th November. There is a release show on 14th November in the Cave, Stockholm, Sweden. The bands writes about it: 'It will contain a few brand new tracks and an interpretation of someone else’s song, commonly referred to as a “Cover” (please picture me doing the quotation mark finger gesture right there).' Their last dvd released in 2009 ' The Second Death Of Pain Of Salvation.' The new album is expected next year.
