Primal Fear, Brainstorm, Jaded Heart
When German Power Metal formation PRIMAL FEEAR would form in the winter of 1997 it was just the inception of another new band one should guess. But nobody could have foreseen that one day they would be seen as one of the most successful bands this genre produced. Within their long career, the five-piece would release 8 albums to overall critical acclaim, and tours have led them to e.g. the US, Canada or Brazil. Their newest full-length ‘16.6 (Before the Devil knows you’re dead)’ has been released on 22nd May 2009. At the end of October they will set out on a tour taking them to various locations, and on 8th November Bochum’s Matrix is the place to be for Power Metal aficionados.

In The Nursery
The origins of the family business of the twin brothers Nigel and Klive Humberstone extend back to a time when New Wave was on the lead. IN THE NURSERY started with rough and experimental tracks causing a stir in Britain’s blooming Industrial scene. Dark pathos-filled synth sounds combined with crunchy military drums and a powerful rhythm foundation made up the trademark sound. Later on, bombastic, soundtrack-like soundscapes were increasingly woven into the sound. The dramatic, emotional sonic pictures IN THE NURSERY is painting also roused the attention of film directors. Beginning with the mid-90s, the band composed movie scores. Also with the recent songs, IN THE NURSERY remained true to themselves.
