baddies1Announced last night via the facebook page, Essex 4-piece Baddies have announced their Split.

It is with heavy heart and a lump in our collective throat that we announce Baddies are splitting up. We're all still great friends / family but it has become an ongoing struggle thats too difficult to continue with. Thankyou and goodnight.

The band released two albums; 2009s 'Do The Job' and 2012s 'Build' via their own label 'Medical'.

They burst onto the scene at the tail end of 2008, with their debut single 'Battleships' selling out on its week of release. With support from Huw Stephens and Zane Lowe at Radio One, the band went on to pick up massive press support, with NME, Clash, Q Magazine, Rocksound, Kerrang!, BBC Online, This Is Fake DIY and a whole lot more picking them as ones to watch in 2009 and beyond.

Having supported the likes of The Joy Formidable, Pulled Apart By Horses, Everything Everything, and Reuben, the band toured Japan and Australia, relentlessly gigged in Europe, and played a whopping 35 festivals in the summer of 2009 alone.
