
Pet Shop Boys have signed a new deal with Parlophone Records. Neil Tennant and Chris Lowe originally signed to the label in March 1985 and, in January 1986, gained the first of many No 1 singles, when "West End Girls" topped the charts in 9 countries, going on to sell 1.5 million copies. Since then they have sold in excess of 30 million albums. Neil Tennant and Chris Lowe commented:
