Our ascending dark star MICHELLE DARKNESS just returned from the album photo session which took place together with “gothic pope” FELIX FLAUCHER.
Michelle’s album „Brand new Drug“ shows all the different facets of his musical realm of shadows. Free from genre necessities, but always ready to play with relish abounding stereotypes. Whether if he presents the Joy Division classic „Love Will Tear Us Apart“ as electronically highlighted duet with the famous finish rock singer HANNA PAKARINEN (who is one of the most famous female vocalists in Finland) or with the opener track „My Sweet“ side by side roaming with a classic 69eyes hymn thru the nightly streets – the “Brand new Drug” of the End Of Green front man opens the awareness for an unpredictable trip where the hard working songwriter and multi instrumentalist takes his guests along like guitarist Christian Hector (Ahab/Midnattsol) or Entwine singer Mika Tauriainen.
The album „Brand new Drug“ offers everything friends of the charismatic singer demand for, but also opens at the same time a view on yet unknown sides.
Recorded and mixed at Sonic Pump Studios (Apocalyptica, Sunrise Avenue, Amorphis, Children Of Bodom,…), mastered by Minerva Pappi at Finnvox Studios. In other words: Made in Hell Sinki/Finnland.
