[:SITD:] - “BESTIE: MENSCH“ OUT NOW IN EUROPE !!!

After hitting the pole position of the German Alternative Charts (DAC) with the forerunner “KREUZGANG”, [:SITD:] opens the second chapter of their new release era: This Friday, 07 Sept 2007, the third full-length [:SITD:] album “BESTIE: MENSCH” has seen the light of day in Europe ( via ACCESSION-RECORDS / INDIGO ). Their debut album “STRONGHOLD” was certified the most successful German alternative album by the official German Alternative Charts, DAC. With their second album “CODED MESSAGE: 12” and the single “RICHTFEST”, the band was declared to be the third successful “DAC SINGLE ACT NATIONAL 2005”, right behind RAMMSTEIN and German cult band DEINE LAKAIEN. Up to  the present day, they have been playing gigs and festivals in more than  25 different countries, had number 1 hits in all relevant album charts,  and their celebrated remix cooperations (for instance, “DAS LETZTE  STREICHHOLZ” and “TRÄUMST DU” with OOMPH!) even became top 10 hits in Germany’s mainstream MEDIA CONTROL CHARTS.

And now they’re back, turning over a new leaf with their third album “BESTIE: MENSCH”: [:SITD:].

The beast in man, as BESTIE MENSCH might be translated, is our constant  companion: We see it every day, in the TV footage of the news, in the  press headlines or even when we look in the mirror in the morning, but most of the time, we fail to notice it. “BESTIE: MENSCH” looks behind the façade of human nature – controversially and alarmingly, but not  entirely without hope. In contrast to “CODED MESSAGE: 12”, there is no  overall concept to “B:M” – with their newest work, the artists didn’t want to feel restricted by thematic limitations. And maybe that’s why “BESTIE: MENSCH” has become such a versatile album, dealing with a  variety of topics. The beast shows many different faces: The new single “KREUZGANG” (here available in a new and exclusive V.2 version) for  instance even depicts an attempt in depth psychology by dissecting the  relationship between offender and victim (such as described by the  “Stockholm syndrome”).

Apart from that, [:SITD:] have some musical surprises up their sleeves,  though they never lose touch with the strengths and qualities they’be  become famous for. The songs cover a quite eclectic musical scope and  range from hard and dynamic to melodic and emotional, from experimental  pieces to dancefloor fillers. “[:SITD:] have unquestionably taken the  lead of the German electro scene”, commented the German dark wave  magazine Sonic Seducer in its July/August issue. Therefore, fans have  every reason to look forward to “BESTIE: MENSCH” – and in addition to  that, one of the biggest fan requests has also been fulfilled here.

The limited edition of “BESTIE: MENSCH” will also contain the famous  “E-WMR Bonus-CD“ – “ELECTRONIC WEAPONS OF MASS RECONSTRUCTION“,  combining the best [:SITD:] remixes for other artists on one album.  Here, you’ll find 12 extra tracks (and a total running time of 72 minutes) by some of the most influential electro acts such as VNV  NATION, SUICIDE COMMANDO, ROTERSAND, BRUDERSCHAFT, PAINBASTARD, ABSURD  MINDS, PZYCHOBITCH, TACTICAL SEKT und FADERHEAD – all dealt with in  typically fascinating  [:SITD:]  fashion.
