October 5 2007. Michigan plays live on stage in Hannover. It is one of the last concerts on a 14 day German Tour together with pop heroes De/Vision. This is also the date when Memento Materia/Infacted/A Different Drum release Michigan’s album “Pulse of Pain” to expectant fans and media.
The Story So Far
“Pulse of Pain” is Michigan’s third album. A career started in 2002 when the band won the music contest “Quest for Fame” and released their debut album “Graceful and in Sin”. In 2004 Michigan released the follow-up album “Ultimate Sky”, accompanied by the single “Red Dawn”.
On August 24, 2007, the single “The Nomad” was released. The single was accompanied by a video recorded in the bands home town Motala. “The Nomad” soon became a hit single – a great electropop track loved by both fans and media. The single entered the German Alternative Chart (DAC) as a bullet already the first week and started its climb to the top.
The single have received excellent reviews. Jonaz Björk (www.metica.se) writes “…the balance between electronic soundscapes and melodic pop is perfect, and the result is splendid electropop… if the upcoming album has the same high quality as ‘The Nomad’ we have a classic album to look forward to.”
Pulse of Pain
No one will be disappointed! “Pulse of Pain” is a strong, beautiful album presenting 12 great pop tunes inspired by artists like Placebo and The Killers. Here you find strong hit singles like “The Nomad” and “Juveniles” together with more laid-back ballads like “Mysterious (Infected World)” and “Pioneers”. A soundscape dominated by heavy basslines and strong melodies, with the lyrics reflecting on our gloomy everyday life.
”Pulse of Pain” is released October 5 by Memento Materia/Border (Scandinavia), Infacted (Germany) and A Different Drum (USA). You can listen to and watch the video to “The Nomad” on http://www.mementomateria.se/
