Ex-The Smiths frontman Morrissey has changed record label, again. Morrissey now signed a contract with Polydor/Decca. Not that he actually likes being on a label, because this is what he told NME: "... you can look at record companies and you can easily assess that they've been ripping people off for years and years and years. The whole process is a gigantic rip off. But then there are people like me who need to be institutionalised... and I don't mean in an asylum!"

Polydor/Decca will first of all release a 'best of Morrissey' later in February 2008 before releasing a new studio album which Morrissey is currently completing for a fall 2008 release. Morrissey's previous album "Ringleader of the tormentors" was released last year on the Attack label. Before that Morrissey was signed to Sanctuary Records and before that to 5 different other labels... Not exactly the easiest person to work with so it seems.
