2007 was a good year for the - at that time - 16 year old newcomers of STURM UND DRANG. With their debut ‘Learning to Rock’ the band already excited many fans and journalists. In their home country Finland they cracked the Top 3 of the charts with the two singles as well as with the album, were rewarded with a golden record for the album ‘Learning to Rock’ and are still on everyone’s lips. Additionally, the band is no product of hype. STURM UND DRANG are 5 friends whose love for traditional Hard Rock and Heavy Metal was cradled to them and who pulled off their own thing with lots of love, know-how and discipline.Now the boys have been nominated three times for the Finnish Grammy - The EMMA Award - in the categories “Newcomer of the Year”, “Debut Album of the Year” and “Artist of the Year”.
It also goes on in 2008.STURM UND DRANG remain down-to earth and still give everything. At the end of last year, the band already gathered friends and fans here playing as Special Guest of APOCALYPTICA on their tour. At the concert in Cologne, an interview was shot which you can see at http://www.rockinvasion.de/. The Live show in Berlin was also streamed vie internet.
In March the “Sturmis”, the probably youngest band in the Metal Community right now, are on tour again. You shouldn’t miss that.
