At the moment things turned up side down concerning the music but also my private life. You all know I’m keeping my private life very much in the background, that I’m living out of the world and don’t like to take anything of it to the public. I will keep doing that, but I’ve got a wish, that I want to come true now and I will now explain the reason to you:
I wrote the song ‘An meiner Seite’ for a god friend of mine who is really at my heart and I digested the certainty of a coming farewell with the song.
These are the moments that just happen in life, Moments you can’t have any effect on and - regardless of all the applause and success - give priority to be human.
I want him to witness all the beautiful, positive reactions to this song and I want to give him the certainty that - even if he has to go one day - that I will never forget him and that he’ll be by my side forever.
So I decided to release the song ‘An meiner Seite’ as a single for him to erect a memorial in his honour.
I know that the voting for the ‘Puppenspiel’ songs for the upcoming EP has already started. This will continue, so you can choose your favourite song and my private wish won’t have any effect on that.
