About Northern Lite:
Northern Lite, founded in 1997, is an electro-pop group from Erfurt, Germany. In the beginning, they already were able to create their own little niche in the German music scene. Not only by releasing their own music, but also by creating acclaimed remixes. The band's sound can be described as somewhere between electronic, pop and rock. Critics often call it neo-pop when referring to Northern Lite.
In 2001, Northern Lite released their first recordings on their own label 1st Decade Records. The following years brought many more releases on 1st Decade, including the full-length albums 'Reach the Sun' (2003), 'Temper' (2005), and 'Unisex' (2006) featuring their first German chart hit 'What You Want'.
Northern Lite also has a long list of remix credits. The most notable are remixes for Rammstein's 'Rosenrot' and Peaches' 'Set It Off'. The band also recorded a well-liked version of Queens of the Stone Age's 'Go With The Flow'.
In March 2008, Nothern Lite released 'Super Black', their fifth full-length record. The release is supported by a massive tour through Germany and some other European countries.
