New album Final Conversation Of Kings out on 29 June 2009

The young German label Superball Music has announced the signing  of the Australian band The Butterfly Effect. The quartet’s fourth album, Final Conversation Of Kings, is scheduled for release on June 29, 2009.

The album consists of ten diverse compositions and proves that the band are more than willing to take risks if necessary. Final Conversation Of Kings opens with their most ambitious effort yet, the majestic seven-minute masterpiece ‘World’s On Fire’. "That’s the longest song we’ve ever written," drummer Ben Hall explains. "We’re pretty proud of it – the trumpet and the vibraphone in the middle made it a journey."

Final Conversation Of Kings represents a giant leap the band have made even since their last release, the progressive and pulsating Imago, which debuted at number two on the ARIA charts (Official music charts in Australia) in 2006. The album was recorded at the Grove Studios on the Central Coast in New South Wales, Australia, with acclaimed producer Forrester Savall.

"We’re really excited about this new relationship we’ve forged with Superball Music," says bass player Glenn Esmond. "We can’t wait to bring our music to Europe, and with Superball we’ve found the perfect partner to take it to the next level. We cannot wait until April to play our first shows in Europe in four years."

Thomas Waber from Superball Music comments enthusiastically on his latest signing: "I am very pleased to sign our second (!) Australian act! Australia seems to have a lot to offer right now, and The Butterfly Effect are a band who combine atmospheric and interesting music with a commercial outlook, which is exactly what we are looking for right now!"

Superball Music is a new German label with artists incl. ...And You Will Know Us By The Trail Of Dead, Oceansize, Pure Reason Revolution, Cog, Long Distance Calling and The Amber Light.
