In June, the PET SHOP BOYS come to Germany for four shows within the scopes of their current world tour. Presale has already started. Furthermore the band, known for their flamboyant multimedia shows, will headline this year’s Roskilde Festival. The new album ‘Yes’ pushed the PET SHOP BOYS into high favour of the music critics once more. While the duo was just honoured at this year’s British Music Awards for their ‘Outstanding Contribution to Music’, Tennant and Lowe demonstrated with their 10th album that even 25 years after the release of their groundbreaking first single ‘West End Girls’ they’ve a sound grasp of contemporary development. There was rarely any record of the PET SHOP BOYS having been celebrated by critics that much: “Smart music for smart people (SZ)”, “Indispensable” (Die Welt), “Only little records deliver such exquisite entertainment” (Laut.de), “One of the best album in their career” (Amazon.de)Considering such praise for one of the most commercial works in the band’s discography it’s most likely that many other hits will follow the current one ‘Love etc.’
