Finnish doom, prog metal band BARREN EARTH has their new minisite online. Including band, release information and audio samples from their debut EP 'Our Twilight.' Release date: 9th November Europe, 11th Finland and 17th US. BARREN EARTH is a new formation. Driving forces are guitarist Sami Yli-Sirniö from Kreator, bass player Olli-Pekka Laine (ex- Amorphis) and current members of Swallow the Sun and Moonsorrow.
Finland’s BARREN EARTH presents this 4-track EP of progressive & folk textured death metal. Inspired by everything from OPETH to PINK FLOYD, & PARADISE LOST to JETHRO TULL, plus obscure psychedelic rock & Finnish prog, it's a fine journey through the realm of melodic brutality & keyboard-soaked atmosphere.
'Our Twilight' was recorded in late June 2009 in Finland, at Seawolf Studios and Jive Studios.

It can also be announced that the band will play their very first gig, in support of the release, at Dantes Highlight in Helsinki on Thursday 19th November 2009. Look out for the full-length debut album, coming early 2010, containing the extended version of 'Our Twilight'.
