FLOOR JANSEN, Dutch vocalist (ex-After Forever) , has a new band: ReVamp. She announched the news during her guest performance with EPICA in Belgium last Saturday. The day after she shared the stage with DORO. The release date of her new album is set in May 2010. Floor Jansen writes about Revamp: The ReVamp sound will become a unique blend of the personal style we will recognize from these musicians. Combining these individual sounds in one album promises to result in heavy and very metal! As written on the introduction page of the official website, Floor is not only the singer but also the main force behind the songwriting process of the band. She formed a team around her. The first composer to join this new collaboration was soon found when Waldemar Sorychta (Grip Inc, Enemies Of The Sun ) contacted herto inquire about her current activities and potential future cooperation. The second composer was found in After Forever colleague Joost van den Broek. Asking Joost to join seemed logical because of his great keyboards and arrangements, and therefore his potentially valuable contribution.
