Amorphis + Soilwork - Co-Headliner-Tour - Support: Jinjer + Nailed To Obscurity
The Finnish Melancholic Progressive Metal band AMORPHIS released their very successful new album, ‘Queen Of Time’, via Nuclear Blast on May 18, 2018. Of course they want to perform their new hymns live on stages all over the world again, which is why the band is happy to announce a European co-headline tour with the Swedish metal visionaries SOILWORK for the beginning of 2019. They are currently working on the sequel to their album ‘The Ride Majestic’ (2015, Nuclear Blast) and will therefore be travelling with their new material for the first time. As if this combination wasn’t great enough, the Ukrainian Modern Metal band JINJER and the German Melodic Death/ Doom Metal band NAILED TO OBSCURITY, who are currently working on their Nuclear Blast debut, will complete the tour package.
Esa Holopainen of AMORPHIS explains: “Finally we are touring Europe again! Over the course of this (new album) ‘Queen Of Time’ tour, we will take the AMORPHIS live production to a new level. We are therefore all the more pleased that the mighty SOILWORK, JINJER and NAILED TO OBSCURITY will accompany us on this tour. Be sure to get your tickets quickly for this real retro-firework event!”
Björn Strid of SOILWORK added: “We are also very much looking forward to the tour with AMORPHIS, as it will also be the first with our new album. Since my youth, AMORPHIS have been my favourite Finnish band – ‘Tales From The Thousand Lakes’ accompanied me every day. The unique Metal styles of both bands will become an epic cocktail as we roll around Europe together. I can’t wait until it finally kicks off!”
JINJER also takes a stand: “It’s a huge honour for us to go on tour with two metal giants like AMORPHIS and SOILWORK. It’s almost too good to be true! We promise you that night after night we will do our best and even play new songs. Europe, be warned, 2019 will be loud”. NAILED TO OBSCURITY guitarist Jan-Ole Lamberti adds: “We can’t wait to finally go on tour again - and with such a mega package. We’re looking forward to seeing familiar faces in cities and clubs where we’ve played before, as well as meeting new people in places and countries where we’ve never been before. This is going to be great!”
