Chapeau Claque
According to its self-introduction, the Berlin and Erfurt-based band consisting of Maria Antonia Paula Schmidt (vocals, compositions), Peer Kleinschmidt (piano), Jörg Wähner (drums), Timo Klöckner (guitar, accordion) and Tim Schäfer (bass) regards its musical style as influenced by electro, chanson, pop and romanticism. Representing the federal state of Thuringia, CHAPEAU CLAQUE took part in this year’s Bundesvision Song Contest and finished sixth after performing the song `Pandora Kiss Miss Tragedy´ taken from the recent album `Fabelweiß´ which was released in 2008.
Besides the aforementioned long-player and the previous recordings `Hand aufs Herz´ (2007) and `Acoustic Session (Live)´ (2008), the band has already released several singles such as `Reykjavik´ (2007) or `Unsere Liebe - Ein Storch´ (2009). On 4th December 2009, the five-piece is going to captivate the audience at the Aschaffenburg club Colos-Saal.
