Bass guitar player and one of the founders of legendary band PINK FLOYD, ROGER WATERS announced the dates of his world tour, which features a complete performance of rock opera “The Wall” (1979). This information must please Russian fans of WATERS most of all because, according to the program of the tour published on the official website of the musician, in April 2011 WATERS plays in Moscow (the 23rd April, SK “Olimpiyski”) and in St. Petersburg (25th April, SKK).
Speaking about his tour, WATERS dropped a hint that this could be his last big tour, because he couldn’t think of playing a 55 live concert tour at 80. Besides WATERS acclaimed that the central part of his show would be a video projection on the 75 - meter high wall. Of course, the trick couldn’t be realized in the ‘80s, but now it adds a new visual perspective to the music. Also ROGER promises that the main message of the tour will be much more pronounced than 30 years ago. WATERS feels obliged to express his restrained optimism and to persuade his listeners to do the same. Well, Russian fans definitely won’t disappoint and will meet the legend of rock with the most sincere enthusiasm.
