1st & 2nd July 2011
Castle Rock 2011: Moonspell, Zeromancer, Merciful Nuns, Leichenwetter, Oomph!, Crematory, Megaherz, Van Canto, Lord Of The Lost, Golden Apes, Stahlmann

Mülheim’s Castle Rock festival, meanwhile advanced to cult status, enters its twelfth year in 2011 and also in the new year will come up with a top line-up leaving nothing to be desired for fans of darkly romantic rock music and brachial sounds. On the first day of the festival, spreading over 2 days the focus is placed on dark, guitar tinged sounds. The day is going to be headlined by no one less than MOONSPELL who are reported to be working on a new album currently and who knows; maybe the audience at Castle Rock will get to hear some new neck breakers. From the North there will be ZEROMANCER with their very own blend of melancholy Industrial Rock with which they’re sure as hell going to rock the castle’s yard with everything therein.

The festival’s second day has got some neat acts up its sleeve for the audience with OOMPH! topping off the festival with a surely memorable performance. Preceding them will be German Metal icons of CREMATORY and MEGAHERZ whose charismatic front man Lex is capable of entertaining the entire audience with his presence, as well as VAN CANTO and their brand of a capella metal. Apart from the musical the location offers a lot of possibilities to roam the landscape around the castle in-between your favourite bands, get something to eat or drink and just hang around and enjoy the hopefully good weather.
