For over five years now, we, the masterminds behind the ampler project ‘Sounds’ are already active with an own online magazine. During this time, we not only had the pleasure with the big names; and of course with the newcomers of the hard and alternative music scene, but also worked with numerous labels, bookers, festival organizers and agencies. The newcomers and underground bands always were important for us for whom we, i.e. in 2004 and 2005, provided a platform with our own festival, which was a success; with up to 350 attendees and even without a big name. For the occasion of our fifth anniversary, we want to take a big leap forward and to give bands a chance to present themselves to a bigger audience. For that reason, we’ll push out our own sampler with ‘Sounds’ not only being released through an established label but also being widely available, but we aren’t finished yet, we’re planning to promote the sampler with a broad ad campaign; and hopefully with the help of many colleagues and other magazines to attract the best possible attention to the bands.…and your band can be a part of it
With this we not only like to help you find possible venues for a show or maybe a following label deal, but to support the bands who might already release through “A small or r maybe national” label in pushing them to a higher promotional level.
We’ll do all the work around the sampler by ourselves; and will also provide some finished samplers to every band for the own sale or for promotional use. We’ll provide a detailed overview with all services, defaults and requirements for ‘Sounds’ to all interested bands and solo artists. But please consider that every band has to take part in the cost coverage for the project as the sampler isn’t sponsored.
More important conditions:
‘Sounds’ is intended as a chance for talented newcomers to present themselves to a broader audience in the first place, but also to introduce them to DJs, promoters and booking agents. Selection criterion #1 is the quality of the music. It doesn’t matter if it’s Hardrock, Death Metal, Thrash Metal, Gothic Rock, Modern Rock or one of the countless other genres.
For an application, current song snippets have to be available either on the Band Homepage, MySpace or another platform.

Bands with right-winged or other extreme mindsets won’t be considered either.
