Review Flash

The Band well known as GREAT WHITE came into existence in the year 1981 in southern California. Founded by singer Jack Russel, guitarist Mark Kendall, bassist Lorne Black and drummer Gary Holland the band achieved a record deal with EMI in 1982. It should take another seven years until their breakthrough ‘Twice Shy’ the follow up of ‘Once Bitten’, the song ‘Once Bitten Twice Shy’ was nominated for a Grammy. The following years saw a downward spiral in the bands history, popularity was dwindling. In the year 2003 the band hit the bottom after the catastrophe of West Warwick, the band played a gig at ‘The Station’ on February the 20th 2003. The pyros did set the ceiling on fire and the whole club burnt down to the ground. The sluttery of the club manager concerning fire safety killed 100 people that night amongst others the bands guitarist Ty Longley. The band had a comeback in 2006. If you like blues rock and/ or Great White this will totally be your thing, it rocks and the blues is felt in every minute.

Conclusion: It’s nice to listen to even if it’s not complex or in any sense demanding. Take a listen and make up your mind.
