The Band formerly known as DISNEYLAND AFTER DARK (until 1989, the year the Walt Disney Company became aware of the band) was formed in 1982 by guitarist Jesper Binzer, bassist Stig Pedersen, Peter Lundholm Jensen and Lene Glumer on vocals. According to Wikipedia, Lene Glumer was fired after their first concert because she wasn’t in line with the rest of the band. D-A-D is a very popular and big band in Scandinavia, they play the big festivals like Roskilde as headliners there. The big breakthrough came in 1989, the year they had to change their name from DISNEYLAND AFTER DARK to D-A-D. The band released eleven studio albums, three live records a bunch of compilations and this very best of album since 1982. To cut it short, if you don’t know the band and you want to get to know them just buy this record because it shows who they are in all their variety. If you own a few or every record of these guys you most probably won’t need a best of album of them.
Conclusion: For me (one of the first category) it’s a pleasant record and a nice chance to become acquainted to them.
