With the output of their sixth album ‘Striden Hus’, TAAKE continues their three-year cycle of releasing albums. On their 2014 effort, cold, traditionally Norwegian Black Metal riffs are joined by a more or less Rock-influenced elements, which, taken together, mark for an interesting and certainly energetic mixture. Overall, the album lacks a certain form of consistency and focus – maybe not their best work up to date, but fans of TAAKE might still enjoy bits and pieces.
