‘Icon’ is the first album from VENUS FLY TRAP I ever heard. It is starting with an instrumental and name giving track ‘Icon’. 2nd track is ‘Vitesse’ and is sounding like mix of true 80ies Synth Pop and Batcave. Sounds good to me even though I still miss that warm and clear voice which would fit perfect to that music. Also, there are some guitars in their sound which fit very well. I don’t know what it, but is in some way the music of VENUS FLY TRAP has no clear lines to me… it is somehow 80ies, somehow 70ies and somehow modern. That’s the reason I cannot give you one special track you should listen or not listen. It is a cool sound though!
Conclusion: Give VENUS FLY TRAP a listen and decide where to put them! Interesting sound!
