Our team had planned a lot for the first day. We wanted to go to the Victorian Picnic, where HENKE announced a small “secret” gig, we planned a reading and the first show of SEIGMEN in Germany for twenty years. Part of our team enjoyed the program at Täubchenthal. It was hard to decide what band to visit at the evening. So many we wanted to see but played parallel. Like BLACK LINE, BOY HARSHER, DIE KAMMER and ASH CODE. At the end, due to time reasons, we ended at the Volkspalast for a wonderful ROME concert.

At the 27th Wave Gotik Treffen in Leipzig, as always about 20,000 mainly black dressed guests from all over the world were expected again this year, from Scandinavia, Mexico or the USA. As WGT spokesman Cornelius Brach said on Whit Monday, it was a peaceful festival.

It was quite a sensation when Peddy from neuWerk Music announced that SEIGMEN was going to play in Berlin in 2018! German fans were very excited because most of them never had the chance to see the band live on stage, since the last show SEIGMEN played in Germany was 20 years ago. Right after the announcement, there were rumours that SEIGMEN might also play at WGT in Leipzig. And it became true!
