Rival Sons
The club of the Rockhal was comfortably filled on Tuesday evening. Those who went into the hall were welcomed by Rock’n’Roll sounds from the 50s and 60s as well as Rockabilly Sound. Reason for that is the band RIVAL SONS which are known as the modern Blues Rock discovery of recent years.

Parkway Drive - “Reverence EU/UK” Tour 2019 - Special Guests: Killswitch Engage, Thy Art Is Murder
Following their successful festival tour in June and July 2018 with literally scorching headline appearances at Rock Am Ring / Rock Im Park and With Full Force Festival, the Australian Metalcore giants PARKWAY DRIVE announced their headline European tour for January and February 2019. It were the biggest shows the Australian quintet has ever played in Europe. The capacity of the Palladium of 4,000 people was sold-out for two days in a row in barely no time, which was probably also due to the fact that PARKWAY DRIVE have teamed up with two excellent support acts: KILLSWITCH ENGAGE and their fellow Australians THY ART IS MURDER.

Holygram - “Modern Cults” Tour 2019 - Suport: Traitrs
HOLYGRAM do the splits between wavy Post-Punk and industrial Krautrock: driving, dark and full of catchy moments. The different influences of the five band members who gathered in the vibrant music landscape of Cologne in 2015 are unmistakable: NEW ORDER meets NEU!. Skillfully incompatible merges to form the soundtrack of a city that looks threatening in the dim light. Music for the lost… The debut EP, ‘Holygram’, which was released on October 12, 2016 on a limited edition cassette and in digital format, was recorded and mixed in their own studio in Cologne over a period of several months. The five songs demonstrate the bandwidth of the band without wandering on beaten tracks or being caught up in genre clichés. Now, the band’s first album is out and of course the band is presenting it live on stage.

IAMX - “Mile Deep Hollow” Tour 2019
I once read the saying: “when words fail, music speaks”. I have always thought that words, despite all their beauty and the meaning they carry, fall into the trap of logic, structure and ambiguity when it comes to describing the subtle, ephemeral and expressive matter such as music. Words stand for mind whereas music is more into feeling; its very way of communicating operates on blinding the mind, turning its analytic and getting straight to a listener’s heart. It has the power to evoke joy, sadness, love, euphoria, enthusiasm; it may add to one’s courage, take despair and fear away. It’s a powerful tool that cannot be defined by such a trivial tool as words.
