Album Review

Three years after ‘Sonic Boom’, American rock legend KISS is back with their 20th studio album titled ‘Monster’. The album has all the components that must have a KISS album: powerful riffs, party tracks, shouting out choruses, provocative titles like ‘Hell or Hallelujah’ or ‘The Devil Is Me’, something which will satisfy KISS fans and not only. The sound of the album is based on the 70's and 80's and show as that the band still has the old school rock spirit. Still Thayer's job on guitar is a lot more distinctive here than the previous album which was his first one with the band, allowing him to find his own signature instead of trying to fill Ace Frehley's heavy boots, also he is taking the lead microphone for the song ‘Outta This World’. The duration of the album is about 43 minutes which pass very pleasant and for sure you will press the play button again when ‘Last Chance’ which is the last track of the album will finish. In my opinion the cover of the album is the only minus, but after all music matters and not the packing. Almost 40 years since they began KISS continues their party and we are all invited.
