Ok, what we’ve got here? The OFFICERS released their debut ‘On The Twelve Thrones’ already in UK in 2011 and now the rest of Europe shall follow. Proclaimed by GARY NUMAN as his personal No.1, they consequently supported him on his tour earlier this year. Since 2007 they supported several considerable bands: THE COOPER TEMPLE CLAUSE and PLACEBO e.g.! Asked for influences, the guys of OFFICERS would name a lot of famous bands: ALEC EMPIRE, DEPECHE MODE, MY BLOODY VALENTINE, NINE INCH NAILS and TIMBALAND…
This mixture is somehow what you get, while listening to the OFFICERS. A very interesting clash of these sounds without just copying those styles is offered to the audience. From tender Pop to harsh Industrial… one gets everything. Heavy guitar parts, grim keyboard-sounds, impulsive beats… Industrial parts broken by fragile and calm parts that are creating a dull ambience that is foiling the drifty and steamy atmosphere… I’m at loss for words to express what this release really offers: creativity, diversity, a tricky, intelligent and fine type of composing… maybe this could describe the quality of ‘On The Twelve Thrones’ best.
