Album Review

Four years went by after power metallers ORDEN OGAN released their first LP and then the follow-up commenced itself soon after two years later and now the third instalment in their little saga is set to continue itself in the year 2010 with ‘Easton Hope’.

These go getters of the power metal scene have taken on a new stand still when it comes to creating music. This time around these musicians have delivered with the likes of ‘All These Dark Years’, ‘Nothing Remains’, ‘The Black Heart’ and ‘Of Downfall And Decline’. These selections alone set up what ‘Easton Hope’ is truly about. Like ‘Al These Dark Years’ this tune showcases the real guitar structure and lyrical patterns that lay out as soon as the music begins and soon ends. The music picks up exactly where it left off on the last release which is rather catchy.

While ‘Nothing Remains’ and ‘The Black Heart’ have a more in-depth effect and tone added to them that sucks out the music and replaces it with a more common darkened effect that has the music rotate from being aggressive to being a more down to earth sensation leaving ‘Of Downfall And Decline’ to be the ending point of this power metal dilemma that causes the music to pick itself right back up and format itself into its proper position. ORDEN OGAN’s third release is indeed a music pleaser and sure to be a classic but the music just doesn't seem to impact as much as it had done in the past era.
