Album Review

Due to their self-titled debut in 1999, various music magazines predicted STUDIO GRANDE a great career just like SELIG or the extraordinary BLUMFELD. Unfortunately, it did not go like clockwork, although the band effectively struggled to get their status in Indie cubs and the underground scene. The following album ‘Studio Grande II’ in 2003 was also well recognized by the press…

Now, almost 7 years later, STUDIO GRANDE released ‘Lass es uns trotzdem tun’. The result is a diversified album that alternates between rock songs going straight forward, gentle tunes perfectly fitting the lyrics and club hits with a slight touch of electronic influence. The musicians around Kai Berner are ambitious and really made an effort to get the mood of the songs. There’s none of the songs to prefer in my opinion, because all of them are definitely worth to listen to!

With ‘Lass es uns trotzdem tun’, STUDIO GRANDE released an album of really good songs about life in its aspects and tried to transfer this feeling to the music in a very successful way, for what it’s worth! I’m quite sure that this release will accompany me for a long time!
