For more than 40 years, BONNIE TYLER has thrilled her fans with her unmistakable husky voice, producing 16 albums and around 80 singles and selling more than 100 million records. BONNIE TYLER is internationally the “First Lady of Rock Music”. Currently, her song ‘Total Eclipse of the Heart’ is making new download records in the US and has jumped into the iTunes charts at # 1.
Her show in Essen started very early. Already at 19:00, support SHARRON LEVY entered the stage to play a short, thirty minutes set. Afterwards, there was not much time passing until BONNIE and her band entered the stage for ninety minutes of excitement. The rock singer of the 80s played all its hits live with band, including such well-known songs as their first great success ‘Lost in France’, but of course their two most successful songs ‘It's A Heartache’ and ‘Total Eclipse of the Heart’ as well as ‘Holding out for a Hero’ from the soundtrack ‘Footloose’, which was also used within the soundtrack for the ‘Shrek’ movie series. These hits are among the best-selling singles of all time with sales of over six million units. Furthermore, the set included three medleys… one of songs from the 70s, one with hits from the 80s and of course one with several pieces from the 90s.
