On October 5, a new, dark music event opens its gates at the Markthalle Hamburg: The Hall Of Flame Festival offers a future home for the extreme metal scene in the North. Sascha Jahn comments: “From my own experience, I am aware of that for quite some time now, the North of Germany misses a festival, that is exclusively dedicated to the dark arts”, the organizer says. “That is why the Markthalle Hamburg is the perfect place to close that yawning gap next October with the “Hall Of Flame”.
As headliner, KAMPFAR are on top of the Hall Of Flame billing. Right now, the guys from Norway are reaping top marks from around the globe for their current album ‘Ofidians Manifest’. To the delight of fans, also the Polish Death Metal band HATE brings a brand-new album called ‘Auric Gates Of Veles’. North Rhine-Westphalia’s answer to KING DIAMOND, ATTIC, are highly rated by the audience, while with THE SPIRIT from Saarbrucken, a blackened Death Metal newcomer in high demand, launches this year. DEATHRITE from Saxony belong to the veterans and add grind elements to the deadly round dance. The Flensburg local hero duo VERHEERER will represent the mandatory black underground in proper style.
