AMPHI FESTIVAL 2010 - Final information prior to the festival

In addition to that ASP, Eisbrecher, Blutengel, Combichrist and many other top acts of the scene are about to rock you. Further the new supporting programme at the „Theater“, including talks, readings, musical comedy, film screenings and an enormous aftershowparty with more than 20 dj´s from all over the world, is covering an entertaining range that spans the variety of the scene´s culture.Before we get started, we have collected some important final information for you:

Admittance / Start:
Fr. 23.07.2010 doors open: 19:00 o’clock / start: 20:00 o’clock – New Talents Special (Theater am Tanzbrunnen only)
Sa. 24.07.2010 doors open: 10:00 o’clock / start: 12:00 o’clock
So. 25.07.2010 doors open: 10:00 o’clock / start: 12:00 o’clock

Wristband exchange:
The festival wristbands can already be obtained on Friday 23.07.2010! The following times are planned for the exchange:

1. Box office Tanzbrunnen: 16:00 o’clock – 22:00 o’clock
2. Jugendpark Cologne: 16:00 o’clock – 22:00 o’clock (only in connection with an Amphi camping ticket)

On Saturday 24.07. and Sunday 25.07. the wristband exchange takes place at the Tanzbrunnen´s main entrance, beginning at 10:00 o’clock. On all days the camping wristbands can be obtained at the Jugendpark Cologne only!

Box office times / Collection of reserved tickets:
The box office at the Tanzbrunnen will be occupied for visitors, guests and the press at these times:

Friday 23.07.2010: 16:00 o’clock – 22:00 o’clock
Saturday 24.07.2010: 10:00 o’clock – 21:00 o’clock
Sunday 25.07.2010: 10:00 o’clock – 21:00 o’clock

The reserved tickets are to be payed and obtained at the Tanzbrunnen´s box office between the following times against your submitted confirmation:

Friday 23.07.2010: 16:00 o’clock – 22:00 o’clock
Saturday 24.07.2010: 10:00 o’clock – 16:00 o’clock
Sunday 25.07.2010: 10:00 o’clock – 16:00 o’clock (only day tickets for Sunday)

We explicitly warn you to buy tickets from street dealers. These tickets might be faked. Owners of faked tickets will not gain access to the festival ground.

New: Amphi Lounge & Restaurant @ „Rheinterrassen“!
This year also Cologne´s „Rheinterrassen“ will take part in the Amphi Festival for the first time. In the big parquet hall of the restaurant will be an Amphi Lounge, where you have the opportunity to feast à la carte. Furthermore the Tanzbrunnen´s caterer, “Rhein Connection”, prepared a special idea for you. On Sunday 25.07.2010 between 11:00 o’clock and 18:00 o’clock they scheduled a brunch at the Amphi Lounge. During that period you can eat there as much and as often as you like for 18,00 Euro! Amphi Festival New Talents Special:
With Divamee, Zin, Novus UK and Boudlezz four hopeful newcomers are stepping into the competition for the final Amphi Festival slot on Friday 23.07.2010 at the “Theater am Tanzbrunnen”. We would be glad to see you, supporting these bands in large numbers and to vote your favourite into the Amphi programme with a little donation. By this donation you´re actively supporting the team of Dunkelziffer e.V., who will receive the collection of the evening. Admittance is free and only for Amphi Festival visitors. After the result has been proclaimed, we recommend you to stop by at the official Amphi Festival pre-party!


Official Amphi Festival pre-party at “Alter Wartesaal”:
The official Amphi-Festival pre-party takes place on 23.07.2010, directly beside the main station in one of Cologne´s most beautiful locations, the “Alter Wartesaal”. On two big areas you can groove into the festival spirit and celebrate together. At the last pre-party, more than 1.400 party guests, including lots of musicians from the festival line-up, enjoyed the celebration together. The beer garden in front of the Wartessal open at 21:00 o’clock, the party itself begins at 21:00 o’clock as well. With Amphi-Festival Ticket the admittance is only 4,00 EUR. A note on the indoor stages:
Like on most festivals with more than one stage it may also happen at the Amphi Festival that the maximum permissible capacity of a stage will temporarily be reached. This might concern the stages at the „Staatenhaus“ and the “Theater“. Occasionally a temporal admittance-stop might occur, which will be removed as soon as visitors are leaving the hall. We ask for your kind understanding, that we care for the security and the welfare of our visitors.While the last preparations for the festival weekend of the year are completed these days, we wish all of you a nice and stress-free journey and a lot of fun at the VI.
