1.: SUMMER BREEZE Rookies 2010
We would like to draw your attention towards a new initiative by SUMMER BREEZE Open Air. Under the banner “SUMMER BREEZE Rookie 2010” the organizing team has chosen six young, hopeful newcomer bands it considers  to be potential major acts for the future. An online player with one song per band and further infos about our Rookies 2010 can be found by clicking HERE! You just have to check them out! These young bands deserve your attention and support! They are the future!

These are the six bands who are starting from small, ready to go all the way to the top:

BARREN EARTH
TRACEDAWN
WE BUTTER THE BREAD WITH BUTTER
LONG DISTANCE CALLING
BE'LAKOR
THE FORESHADOWING

By the way, if you're not familiar with the word “rookie”, it means newcomer, beginner or novice.

2.: Supermarkets at the camp site + 5 liter SUMMER BREEZE Beer keg
The supermarket will again be open for you 24 hours a day at the same place, in the barn. In order to offer you a better service and shorter waiting times, there will also be a second supermarket (you can find its position on the site map below). There will be a wide array of drinks, from beer to water, which will obviously be sold chilled. There will also be food such as bread, sausages, steaks, etc., toiletries and the charcoal and grill you forgot at home. Should you not find the desired items please speak to the supermarket team. They will try to order the missing items for you if possible.

There will also be changes at the counter for the reception of returnable bottles/cans: This year there will be a separate area where you can return bottles/cans. Only returnable bottles and cans that were purchased at the supermarket may be returned. Please also note that we can only accept bottles/cans with a legible barcode. This means crushed, broken or damaged bottles and cans cannot be returned.

The counter for the reception of returnable bottles/cans will be open daily from 6:00 to 24:00. Your last chance to return your bottles/cans before leaving will be from 6:00 to 10:00 on Sunday, August 8, 2010. By the way: If you don't fancy drinking beer out of a plastic bottle (due to the ban on glass), salvation is near. In both supermarkets you will be able to buy a 5-liter keg of SUMMER BREEZE Beer to quench your thirst for a measly 15 Euros.

The beer keg may also be pre-ordered! First 1.000 barrells ordered will come with a beer cooler as a bonus gift that may save your life looking at the temperatutes outside (see picture above). Just send an email to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it., let us know your name and the preferred colour for the cooler and reserve 5 liters of ice-cold lager. Or more! Preorders can be placed until August 10th, 2010. Barrells can be picked up on Wednesday, August 18th 2010 and Thursday, August 19th 2010 between 10am and 6pm at the main supermarket in the barn. CHEERS!

3.: Site map
The updated site map for SUMMER BREEZE 2010 is ready. You can find it HERE! Please take note of some slight changes from last year!

4.: Festival ABC
The Festival ABC has also been updated. Please read the new version carefully in order to make your stay as easy and pleasant as possible. You can find the new Festival ABC HERE! Please take another look at the ABC shortly before departing for SUMMER BREEZE 2010, as there may always be some last-minute changes.

5.: Arriving with public transport
For those of you who travel to and from the festival using public transport, we have compiled a PDF document with all informations, timetables and connections concerning your arrival and departure. Print it out! Due to the closure of the train line between Nürnberg and Ansbach, our partners from the public transport agencies advise against the use of public transport in this direction as there is a rather complicated replacement service operating instead. Should you still wish to use this route, you will also find all relevant informations about said replacement service in the PDF document under the link above.
