The M’era Luna festival 2010 ended with an attendee’s record last weekend. 24.000 fans from all around the globe were excited about 40 live performances, the medieval market and the fashion show. Big part of the attendees already arrived on Friday to start the M’era weekend on the camping site or at the hangar disco.
The live program started on Saturday, 11 AM with Unzucht who won the newcomer’s contest. Highlights of the day were the performances of Unheilig and The Sisters of Mercy. Also the fashion show of Gothic Magazine hit very well with the crowd. Visual highlights were the neon-painted bodies of PUNISH YOURSELF, the bloody show of AGONOIZE, as well as the spectacular pyro elements of IN EXTREMO.
The date for the 2011 issue is already set. On 13th and 14th August, the airport Hildesheim-Drispenstedt again belongs all to the dark scene. The first headliner is already confirmed with ASP, whose new album ‘FREMD’ will be out shortly before the festival in 2011. There’ll be a limited amount of 666 wildcards on sale. These are 2-days festival tickets including camping for festival fans, already looking forward to the next M’era Luna. Besides a reduced, very attractive price of 74,- EUR including fees and 5,- EUR garbage deposit, the exclusive layout will make it a highly sought-after item for fans.
