For many of the people attending yesterday's show at the Royal Albert Hall in London, already more than just one wish came true. One was the wonderful atmosphere of the venue in Victorian style being amongst the world's most beautiful concert venues, and the other one was song number 16 in the setlist. It wasn't just the fact that Martin Gore performed 'Somebody', but that he was accompanied on the piano by Alan Wilder. It was the first mutual performance since he left the band 15 years ago. A real sensation! It would be too early though to speak of a reunion, but if it's ever going to happen, then the first and most important step on the way has been done yesterday.

Says Alan: "Dave contacted me a few weeks back and asked if I'd be willing to join them on-stage. He assured me that everyone in the band was into the idea. I was very happy to accept, especially as it was all in a good cause and we were long overdue some kind of reunion of this sort. It was great to see everyone again and catch up a bit, and it was also the first time I have actually 'seen' Depeche Mode perform!"
