NIK KERSHAW - ‘You’ve got to laugh’-Tour 2009
His greatest hits ‘Wouldn’t it be good’, ‘The Riddle’ and ‘I won’t let the sun go down on me’ made pop history in the 1980s and have been essential classics on the radio up to now. Born 1958 in Great Britain, NIK KERSHAW started his career as a child. He learned to play the guitar, the bass guitar, the keyboard and the drums and entered a stage for the first time at the age of 10. After playing in several bands, he signed his first solo deal in 1983. The two following long-players ‘Human Racing’ (1984) and ‘The Riddle’ (1985) were rewarded with platinum and made him famous all over the world.

Education is everything. That also goes for STURM UND DRANG, because after the Finish guys titled their debut ‘Learning To Rock, the brand-new album carries the title ‘Rock’n’Roll Children’ and is in stores since 16th January. There’s hardly any better way to illustrate the development of STURM UND DRANG, even if the album title shouldn’t be taken too seriously, also says singer André Linman: “It’s less a metaphor for the band itself, rather a symbol for the entire Rock’n’Roll Generation; people all over the world, listening to rock and metal; the ‘children, the ‘followers’ of the Rock’n’Roll.” The evolutions STURM UND DRANG have gone through can be heard and felt from the first to the last note, and received complementary reviews from the press ‘4 in the Metal Hammer sound check is only one little example.- Details
