On 22nd August, one of the most successful singers worldwide, Robin Gibb, is visiting us at Berlin’s citadel. His voice has gone around the world with the countless hits with the BEEGEES in five decades and yet he’s left his own mark sin the pop chronicles; no minor achievement, considering how genuine and definitive the Gibb brothers always sounded as vocal ensemble. (Doors open: 7:00 PM, Starts: 8:00 PM, ticket fee: starts from 48 EUR (Presale)) After the concert, there’s the aftershow party with the hits from now and the pop cultural past on the ‘Bastion Königin’ of the citadel.

Some encounters are obviously destined by fate. What other explanation could there be for the genesis of MPYR. Normally, the five Frenchman had persuaded their successful careers in their respective bands, would have met now and then on festivals and basta. But fate had planned something different; instead of releasing records, happy and satisfied with their regular bands Kyo, Watcha, Pleymo and Vegastar (Over 3.5 albums sold together) and to give concerts (Together more than 1200 live gigs worldwide), they felt the need to work together more closely and on a regular base. Initially EMPYR was created as a side project, they’d work on when Ben, Florian, Benoît, Fred and Jocelyn had the time “But we had so much fun to play together that it became our main project in the end”, they say today.- PETER HEPPNER - Solo album & single Alleinsein
