Following critical acclaim for his last album Splinter (Songs From A Broken Mind), a recent series of sold-out classic album shows at London’s Forum and a Q Magazine Innovation In Sound Award, Gary Numan has launched a Pledge campaign for his new record, due for release in October 2016. Gary will be offering candid, in-depth insight into his creative process for the first time ever, giving pledgers access to regular written, video and audio content that details every step of the album’s progress.

Impericon promised to let you know about the first bands to be announced for the Impericon Festivals 2016, so here we go! Impericon took the outcomes of the recently made survey to heart and chose a few bands out of the top 10 bands named by the more than 10.000 participiants. So here they are - the first confirmed acts for the festivals: Hatebreed, Caliban, Emmure, Northlane, Bury Tomorrow, Blessthefall, Chelsea Grin, Hundredth, Any Given Day and Devil In Me! The festival will span across 9 cities and 6 countries, check out which bands are playing where right here! However this is just the beginning! In the following weeks Impericon will be releasing more and more bands of which you can expect to be the best of metal- and hardcore for sure!

Richmond, Virginia-based metallers LAMB OF GOD are cancelling all of the remaining dates of their current European tour effective starting with yesterday's show in Tilburg, NL.

Commented the band: "Due to concerns brought to our attention by the venue security team yesterday in Tilburg - and continued general concerns across Europe - we have decided against putting our fans, our crew and ourselves in this position night after night and will be canceling the remainder of our performances in Europe. This is a decision we are making on behalf of the fans, our crew, and our band, as well as the well-being of everyone's family, friends and loved ones at home. Stay safe, and we will see you very soon.”

The Sisters of Mercy

It's been thirty years ago that one-of-a-kind rock band THE SISTER OF MERCY from Leeds, Britain, has released their debut ‘First and Last and Always’ (1985). Only two more studio albums followed, namely, ‘Floodland’ (1987) and ‘Vision Thing’ (1990). Still, THE SISTERS are celebrated as icons because of their timeless tunes that are gloomy and danceable at the same time: Just think of ‘The Temple of Love’, the ‘Flood’ songs, ‘Dominion / Mother Russia’, ‘This Corrosion’, ‘Marian’, ‘More’, or ‘Lucretia My Reflection’. Despite the lack of new recordings, THE SISTERS remain active as performers.
