May 10th will hurt. Expect first class in your face death metal, uncompromising and brutal like a karate chop. Luckily we are talking music and not physical violence. But pure and severe energetic music. We are talking The Resistance. The Swedish Extreme Metal band The Resistance’s debut album will hit stores May 10th, 2013, released by Hamburg based rock label earMUSIC (Edel). A first tour in selected major markets coincides with the date of release for “Scars”, presenting the band to fans and media with full force.

Still running strong from the stunning and controversial feedback received with the very eclectic "You're My Favourite Thing To Do" EP, the German duo did not rest on their laurels and now serve us a 6-track digital EP that will undoubtedly wet your appetite for more JUNKSISTA tunes! Taken from the forthcoming album, the "Paranoid" EP shows us the band's explosive mix of very different styles such as industrial, rock and beautiful vintage sounding synth pop melodies. The dark and desperate lyrics of "Paranoid" are inspired by a recurrent dream: "I've been dreaming about being chased by evil forces since I am a child. I remember the very first one... I tried to run but the ground turned into a swamp and I couldn't get away... I knew I'd get killed eventually," says Diana. - Details

After the release of "The Grandiose Nowhere" in 2010 and the following tour in 16 countries around the globe, including destinations like South America, China or Spain, where the band experienced unforgettable memories and groundbreaking events, the guys revolving around mastermind Oliver Niklas took a break to concentrate on the arrangements for songs on the new album. Beneath festivalgigs in WACKEN, the MERA LUNA Festival, ARTmania, the WGT and many others, the band has been working hard on the 10th studioalbum, wich will be released in May 2013, which is the 20th anniversary of the band. In addition, Napalm and LACRIMAS PROFUNDERE renewed their co-operation with a new record-deal.

With the new EP 'The Last Dance' (Dependent / Alive), the electro heads of Covenant are promising big for June. After the band already released snippets of the title track on Facebook, now the EP follows with four new songs and two remixes. According to the band, you'll hear “majestic synths, quirky noises, unexpected harmonies, scary singing machines, fog horns, massive beats and of course Eskil’s incomparable vocals”. For Autumn, COVENANT - now a 100% Swedish band again - announced the new long-player 'Leaving Babylon' as well as a big tour through Europe. And here's the band's statement:
