The Cult, Nokta
Founding as THE DEATH CULT in the early 1980s, a post-punk outfit, the band gained some recognition with their special kind of sound, later on shifting more towards a hard-rock influenced compound, starting with their third album ‘Electric’ with coinciding international success, mostly cracking into the American market. Amongst others, THE CULT have been touring as support for the likes of BILLY IDOL or THE WHO. Also their music has been used in movies.

Gwar
GWAR, the “Scumbags of the Universe”, with their imaginative monster dresses alone can charm crowds for hours. Just imagine the result when adding with extraordinary live shows, including frequently fights, fire breathing or humorous re-enacting of politically and morally taboo themes. Also they’re frequently making fun of celebrities. Ever since the band’s formation back in 1984, they’ve gained world-wide recognition for those trademarks and have built up a large following by now, even though the band didn’t make it easy for them at times, experimenting with partly obscure genres like on 1995’s ‘RagNaRok‘.

The new VNV Nation is to be released on 11th September 2011 under the name "Automatic". Here's the official statement of the band: The new VNV Nation album "AUTOMATIC" will be released in September. The album has been in production for a while and so far it looks to be an incredibly energetic and anthemic release (and then some). We'll be premiering some of the new songs at our show at the Nordstern Festival in Hamburg in July and snippets and previews will be posted online over the Summer. There's so much we want to tell you about this album and what we have planned around it but we prefer to keep it a surprise, for the moment. There are lots of things planned that we've never attempted before and we're really excited about it.
