Wave Gotik Treffen 2011 with Pre-Party on 9th June
Twenty years ago, two Gothic people from Leipzig had an unusual idea: They didn’t want to create yet another dark music festival but rather a supra-regional gathering of like-minded fellows for relaxed meeting, chatting and celebrating. When in 1992 the 1st Wave-Gotik-Treffen took place in 1992 at the edge of Leipzig with about 2,000 visitors and just a handful of bands, it is unlikely that anyone imagined that within a few years the WGT would become the largest meeting of Gothic people in the world, taking possession of a whole city every year at Whitsun. Now the WGT celebrates its 20th annual occurrence.

In 2011, the band around Yorck Eysel and Gunnar Eysel says good-bye to their fans and the concert stages. Final moments of farewell, thankful notes for wonderful moments of the edgy times. LOVE LIKE BLOOD will headline on Saturday the 24th of July 2011.

THE NEW RECRUITS will release their debut EP, entitled ‘The Ten Count EP’ on 10th June. Let It Burn Records comments on the signing: “We’re extremely happy to have THE NEW RECRUITS in our roster now. Working with friends is a great pleasure anyway. But if those friends deliver music that is so exciting and completely new for the label it’s hard to find the right words. The release of ‘The Ten Count’ is a great challenge for Let It Burn Records, because we’re breaking new grounds here. So we can hardly wait to put out the EP.”
