ElectriXmas festival is one of Sweden’s most famous Synth festivals. The festival started in 2002 and has been a yearly happening in December, like an early Christmas gift you might say. This is a personal statement on last week’s event from Kari, reaching us yesterday:

“Considering the events that occurred last week concerning Ashbury Heights, I want to make things clear from my part.

I, Kari Berg, former vocalist of "Ashbury Heights" hereby declare that I under no circumstances am part of the recently published statement that Anders Hagström made under our band name "Ashbury Heights" about his disagreement with Out of Line and his personal
opinions about it. I was not aware of the publication of that statement until after it had been posted. The same with his response to Side-Line Magazines article, I was not told about that being written either. Therefore I do not wish to be connected to Ashbury Heights any further regarding this matter. I send my thanks to all the fans and people who have supported me and
us throughout the years.

I am currently working on my own music projects and modelling career and I wish to put my energy into something creative for the future. Stay tuned for more news on that...

A big chunk of the Amphi Festival 2011 programme has already been confirmed. Yet there are still lots of powder in the gun for exciting announcements. Since the last update we’ve already gathered two more top-acts to join the line-up and also the festival organisation department has some important news to share:

New bands confirmed: Nitzer Ebb & Covenant
Ladies & gentlemen, the waiting is over! The godfathers of industrial, NITZER EBB, are coming to Cologne! In the luggage: brilliant fireworks of timeless classic tunes  and their formidable comeback album ‘Industrial Complex’, by which Bon Harris and Douglas McCarthy had proven not to grow older but simply better and better!

Amorphis, Orphaned Land, Ghost Brigade

Following their inception back in 1990 it took more than 6 years for Finnish AMORPHIS to get their breakthrough with their third album by the name of ‘Elegy’ making it into the Top 10 of the Finnish charts followed by a long-lasting tour like on their previous releases, adding to expanding their audiences even more. Over the years and until the present day, the band has managed to gain the status of one of Finland’s most successful Metal bands with an album count of nine albums in total.

Faithless

There’s hardly any band within the dance genre of the past 15 years responsible for such an impact as British sensation FAITHLESS. With hits under their belt like ‘Insomnia’ or ‘God Is A DJ’ spawning from world-class albums like ‘Reverence’ and ‘Sunday 8 PM’, they’ve managed to gain international recognition, defining a new hybrid of dance music with trip hop and trance elements amidst a distinctive vocal style from front man Maxi Jazz. In their 15th year of existence the time came to release their 6th body of work entitled ‘The Dance’ on their new label PIAS Recordings.
