CocoRosie / IAMX / The Dø / I'm From Barcelona / Junior Boys / Les Savy Fav / Deerhoof / Duchess Says / Syd Matters / Great Mountain Fire have confirmed their appearance for the 23rd edition of Dour Festival
The American duo CocoRosie, at their first appearance at Dour, are doubtless going to capture the spirit of the festival with their freakish folk music.
Get ready, too, to welcome back IAMX, with the charismatic Chris Corner providing his typically moving vocals over their electro-rock sound. And it’s not without a certain amount of pride that we can announce the appearance of The Dø, who will bring their original indie-pop to the festival – this group seems to captivate everybody that crosses their path. I’m From Barcelona have a similar effect, what with their 20 musicians invading the stage to play some of their hyperactive music, coming right from Sweden, an airing.
Junior Boys will also join the party. These two Canadians’ pop is sweetly intertwined with some electro grooves and is popular among most fans of groups like Hot Chip. As for Les Savy Fav, they too will be putting on their very special show for the festival.
Everyone remembers Deerhoof’s incredible show from two years ago, and they will be back again for another performance right in the middle of the night ! Looking for something a little bit more savage? Look no further than Duchess Says, who offer their brand of moog rock directly inspired by new-wave music. Fans of Yeah Yeah Yeahs or Peaches will doubtless find something to get their teeth into in that show.
Some darlings of the French folk scene, Syd Matters will also be back at the festival site for a folk-rock concert guaranteed to shake you from your slumbers. To top it all off, some favourites of ours at the moment, the Belgian group Great Mountain Fire! Later in the week, we will announce some more hip-hop, rap and techno names.
Look at the list of the first confirmations.
