Last weekend I hopped on a plane with K-Large to fly to Sheffield in the UK and play the first ever Resistanz Festival that was held at the Corporation, a club which I really like. This was also the first show with the Lord AND Daniel & Joe on stage at the same time and I dare say that I currently don’t know of a more energetic/powerful keyboard-crew than those three! The festival was tons of fun: Sheffield feels like my hometown (when it comes to gigs) and I knew almost all of the bands who played – so it felt like a big holiday weekend. Props (in no particular order) must go out to: Phyll & Leighton, Jaf, Tom, Mark, Peter and Lee of Corporation, Marko & Livia, K-Large, Michelle Payne, Foamy Foamenheimer, Ambassador Richard McPyne, Asha & Sasha, Daniel & Sir Michael Wolfington, The Dyoodes: Daniel, Joe & Lordy Visconti, Brian & Kat, Aaron, Philsy, everyone in Modulate, Gaycrash the Chickmagnet, Steve, Gio and Chris of And One, Dr. Myer & Covenant, Jesus & Jo, Eisenfunk, Deviant Jay, Matt “I-am-popular-with-the-silent-minority” Fanale, DJ Hive, Thomas “we-got-kicked-out-of-the-hotelroom-for-being-too-loud-so-we-partied-in-the-lobby” Rainer, Alliteration Girl, Jockstrap Man, Zia and Patrick, all the folks who came in from Dublin and Glasgow, Charlotte (yea, you!), Tom Surgyn, Dr. Lütkemeier, Young Ozzy and Hannah and everyone else I talked to and had a drink with!
