Finally, the time of secretiveness is over. The successor of “(if)”, originally planned to be released end of this year but now postponed to the beginning of the upcoming year, will be entitled “Ego:X”. To shorten the waiting time you can already look forward a single release to be out before tour start in November. Besides that, the band will play some songs out off the upcoming album already during the tour.

Founded in 1993 by Shagrath, Silenoz, and Tjodalv and named after unusually shaped lava fields and rock formations east of Lake Mývatn in Iceland, Norway’s DIMMU BORGIR made their debut into the underground metal scene via unofficial rehearsal cassette tapes in 1993. Inspired by incarnations of black metal from the ‘80s and ‘90s and inspired by the works of classical composers such as Wagner and Dvorák, the band’s music was resplendent in its raw & melodic vocals, somber guitar work, destructive drums, and haunting keyboard melodies. Less than a year later, the band recorded their full-length debut, For All Tid, to wild acclaim.- Details

On the 27th of September 1980 the group Laibach, formed that year in the small mining town Trbovlje near Ljubljana, prepared it‘s ‘coming out’ under the patronage of Ljubljana‘s ŠKUC Gallery. This was its first proper live performance, and first public happening in the form of a multimedia action; an event that would represent an ‘alternative to the (official, centralistic) Slovenian culture’ and would shock and awaken the Red District – at the time slumbering, poisoned and saturated by soc-realism and provincialism – with its brutish and avant-garde aesthetics. The single day Blitzkrieg event was conceptualised as a poster action (night postering of Trbovlje), a concert of anarcho-industrial music (featuring Laibach, Kaos and Berlinski zid) and as an exhibition of paintings, collages, graphics and short films (Ausstellung Laibach Kunst).- Details
